Collections

The Museum collects all sorts of objects associated with the Purbeck Ball Clay industry. These include equipment, ephemera, archival material, and photographs. We also care for the 1874 locomotive Secundus, currently the locomotive is not on public display, but may be viewed by prior written arrangement. We are always interested in personal stories of those who have worked in the industries and general information. The objects which we collect must be directly related to the subject matter of the Museum, and have good Purbeck provenance and/or be directly of use in illustrating the subject in our displays.
