A special visitor today - Carole Brown has agreed to make a loan to Purbeck Mining Museum of some of her late father's pottery. We'll be putting together a display in 2024.

Great visit from a TV production company at Purbeck Mining Museum last week. They are making a short promotional video for the ‘Purbeck Community Rail Partnership’ and it features various things to do on a day out to Purbeck traveling by SWR from London, and then using the Swanage Railway link from Wareham to Corfe Castle and Swanage.

As part of Swanage Railway Community Open weekend, we had on display our Ruston engines, one of which was in use helping our woodland management team. We met with many narrow gauge railway enthusiasts, some of whom had travelled from a long distance to visit.
