From 1 May to 29 September – Tuesday to Sunday, museum open 11:00 – 16:00. Please note we will usually be closed on Mondays, but will open for May and August Bank Holiday Mondays.

We’re not able to run the Narrow Gauge Railway at the moment due to some technical problems. We are working hard to fix the issues, and we hope to announce that we can run Narrow Gauge Railway demonstrations again soon.

Great visit from a TV production company at Purbeck Mining Museum last week. They are making a short promotional video for the ‘Purbeck Community Rail Partnership’ and it features various things to do on a day out to Purbeck traveling by SWR from London, and then using the Swanage Railway link from Wareham to Corfe Castle and Swanage.
